NE Show
Blah! This NE show isn't very fun. We arrived in the school hall at 12.30, as we were told. But we were held back to 3! When we FINALLY depart from school, we were all heaving sighs of relief. It felt so good to stretch our legs! When we found out we were going to have McDonalds for dinner, we were thrilled! But who knew, the dinner ws given out at 1..... We had to sit for about 45 minutes again when we reached the MRT station. How unpleasant!
When we reached the entrance of the stadium, where we had to queue and wait for our goodie bags and a loaf of bread, we were disappointed to find out that the show had already started. It was cramped in the stadium. Terrible! One-quarter of my bread dropped on the floor when we started moving again. The goodie bag was ugly and easily torn as it was made out of cardboard...Too bad it was only a dress-rehearsal or we would have see Hardy Mirza(however the name is spelt). The MCs weren't all that serious at all.
Everything was smooth. But tell you what, when you go to the toilet, you'll get the shock of your life! The toilet was of course, mobile. It was so hard to flush! I didn't even know how to on the sink! But at least a few drips of water came out from the tap.
The fireworks were gorgeous. You could hear everybody gasping in amazement if you had been there. The MRT was cramped like sardines in a tin. The weird thing was, the MRT stopped at every station even though the MRT was all to us. It stopped but the door never opened.
So, our food was terrible from what I've written so far. The only good thing was the fireworks. Our trip back (for me) was fun too. Class Clown Jordan made us laugh. We (Danielle, Rachel and I) showed him some pictures and asked him to mimic them. Of course we were roaring with laughter! How funny he was! So, it wasn't all that bad, you see. You can spice up something horrible into something good.

Wuhan Trip
This Wuhan Trip was very fun and a good experience.
The first day was just tiring. We had to cross from SQ to Guangzhou airport and we got lost in the Guangzhou airport! But soon, we found our way again. The first night, we had a few dishes. They might look great, but some tastes awful...Like they always say, looks can be decieving. Later, we made a trip to the supermarket. The chewing gum is very popular among us Singaporeans. Everyone just couldn't wait to see the hotel and their rooms. My roommate, Christabelle, and I were shocked to see the toilet door spoilt when we arrived. Soon, an assistant came to help fix the door. We quickly showered and went to sleep as we had school the next day.
Second day and disaster strikes again! I couldn't sleep much, so I woke up at 5 in the morning. The Sun was in the sky already! Again, the toilet door was spoilt! We had no choice but to shower with the door slightly opened, not entirely. We tried not to get near the door as it was cold. We quickly got dressed and hurried down for breakfast, in fear that we were late. The breakfast was truly delicious. There were eggs, veggies and everything else! As soon as everyone filled up their tummies, we headed to the Wuchang Experimental School. In the school, we learnt about their history. I wasn't really listening as I was taking pictures busily and I'm not into History. In their library, I met my two buddies, who were going to guide me around the school. My buddies were Sarah and Libby. Sarah's the talkative one. She's always cheerful and as brave as a lion. Libby's a shy and gentle girl. She barely talked and is the class monitress of her class. After half day in the lesson, we had lunch outside of school and went back to the school again. We learnt paper cutting and a few Wushu steps. It was scary. We had to hold long sticks and hit on the ground hard..... Dinner soon arrived. Everyone was tired. We went back to sleep immediately when we reached our hotel rooms. As soon as I lied on my bed, I was asleep.
Third day and I'm late! I didn't turn on my handphone alarm, that's why. We were supposed to wake up at 5.45, but I woke up at 6.45. But it was still fine, after all, the wake-up call was at 7. but we still rushed. Same breakfast, so nothing to say. In school, we did their school exercise: Wushu. I wa totally rubbish at that 'cos I hate Wushu. Imagine your pants splitting and there's a big hole there... We had Maths lesson on angles. I was familiar with angles when explaining in English bu t not in Chinese! Seriously, I could have screamed for help. We were given yoghurt by the school. It was very sour..... We then had computer lessons, which was not all that fun 'cos their computers were as slow as snails and they were all Chinese, so I couldn't read anything. Thankfully, we were then sent to lunch. Our tour guide brought us to a restaurant where a marriage was held. We were not really distracted by the food but by the about-to-be-married couple! LOLS! Our eyes were peeled! We went to the East Lake (whatever it's called). There wasn't much to see. We walked a long way for nothing. Maybe not nothing, but ice-cream! Then, we went to a bookstore. I bought two books: one about a little girl and how she spent her time with her relatives without her Mum and Dad; the other about the mascots of the Beijing Olympics. I love the black panda one and the glorious green one! Then, dinner. Then, zzzzzz........
Fourth day, I can't remember much. I only remembered the Music lessons, where we watched the pupils dance and all. Then, (I forgot to say we were all split into different classes. I was with Christabelle, Rachel, Felicia, Zhi Kang and Alvin. We were grouped with the 4B class) we took a reunion picture with 4B. The tour guide helped me took the picture under the Sun. Everyone was all smiles. What happened next? I can't remember. Sorry.....
Fifth day, our last day in school. We couldn't bear to part with our buddies. A few days earlier, some photographers took pictures of us and our buddies one to one, if you know what I mean. At least we still had the pictures as a souvenir. We were also given a pencil case each with the five mascots of Beijing Olympics. You know, of all the people who went to Wuhan, I had the most presents(P.S. I'm not boasting, just want to add something). I couldn't keep track of the number of presents and who had given me the present. Everyone just piled the presents on my table and half of the class was asking me for my email! Talk about popularity! I had to carry two bulgy plastic bags and a big stuffed panda. Help.....! Then, we went to the School for Deaf and Mute. We had a few lessons then performed for them. We told them places of interest in Singapore and taught them the Indian Martial Arts we learnt. It was my best day in Wuhan!
SIxth day, we visited the Yellow Crane Tower. We learnt about its history and everything. It was gigantic! We went for a little shopping in the Yellow Crane Tower. It was a symbol of Wuhan, if I'm not wrong. Dinner: not so satisfying. Our last dinner was one that our tour guide wanted us to enjoy. But some complained the rice was cold and sticky. In the bus, the tour guide couldn't bear to part us and apologised for a not-so-great dinner in tears. Some pupils, being emotional, cried too.
Last day in Wuhan and we were to wake up bright and early. Again, some cried. We spent most of the time in the airports, waiting for our allocated planes. At the airport, we rejoined with our families. It was home sweet home!
